Pearl M. Shepard Rooney, 97, died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Edinboro Manor. She was born in Fairview to parents Louis and Hattie (Platz) Shepard.
Pearl worked for Girard Model Works and Lord Manufacturing for six years. She enjoyed a variety of crafts, baking and flower arranging. She also liked to play cards. Before her husband Robert died, they lived in Zephyrhills, Florida in during the winter.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Rooney. They were married March 21, 1933, in Erie, Pennsylvania. Also preceding her in death was her sister, Minnie Shepard.
Survivors include her two daughters; a sister; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
