"Archie Edwards Sr., 67, 40 B David St. died at 3:20 p.m. Thursday in Rapides General Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Martin Edwards of Alexandria; six sons, Simmie R. Edwards Sr. and Richard F. Edwards, both of Alexandria, L. C. "Eddie" Edwards, Floyd W. Edwards Sr. and Jimmie L. Edwards, all of Baton Rouge, and Archie Edwards Jr. of Lafayette; four daughters, Myrtle L. Olson and Ella L. Luke, both of Alexandria, Virgil L. Jones of Baton Rouge and Betty V. Harris of Denham Springs; five brothers, Simon Edwards of Calcasieu, Alvie Edwards of Gardner, O. B. Edwards of Pineville, B. F. Edwards of Oakdale and Duffie Edwards of Baton Rouge; one sister, Leonia Frazier of Alexandria; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in First United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. G. A. Mangun officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of John Kramer and son.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church."
