Dorothy Irene Ricks Lester, 80, died April 20, 1992 in Home Hospital; she had been in ill health one month. A homemaker, she was born Dec. 21, 1911, in Indianapolis, coming to Lafayette in 1941. Mrs. Lester was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. She married Cleo D. Lester in Indianapolis on March 20, 1941; he died Jan. 21, 1978.

Surviving are a son, Thomas E. Lester of Lafayette; a sister, Josephine Eads of Greenwood; a brother, Walter Ricks of Long Beach, CA; and two grandchildren, Chad and Carrie. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister. Service April 23 in Hippensteel Chapel, the Rev. Ann Smith officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
