Masonic graveside rites were held at 2 pm Tuesday at Cedarlawn Memorial Park for Herbert H. Phares, 79, who was dead on arrival Monday at a Sherman Hospital. His home was at 805 S. Hazelwood Street.
He had been a lifelong resident of this area. He was born in Grayson County the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Phares.
He is survived by daughters, Mrs. James E. Odom of Denison and Mrs. Tom McBride of Wichita Falls; brother David Phares of Sherman; sister, Mrs. Gert Sollis of Howe; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
