Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Monday at the Precht-Pickering Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond Inman officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rodgers was born March 15, 1920 in Boone County, the son of Jasper Lee and Elsie Mae Garrett Rodgers. On October 10, 1948 he was married in Mexico to FrancesL. Durham who survives.
Other survivors include three sons. Donald Rodgers and Bobby Rodgers of Mexico and Mitchell Rodgers of Martinez Calif. a daughter, Donna Kay and husband Jack Willingha of Mexico, a sister, Mrs J.W. and husband Lavern Coil of Benton City. five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Mr Rodgers was a self employed auto mechanic in the Rush Hill area and also worked at Audrian Medical Center in th maintenance department for eight years until his retirement in 1985. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and he served in the Navy during World War 11.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
