DONALD JAMES BEVIER, 74, passed away February 27, 2007 after being diagnosed with cancer in December 2006. A memorial mass will be held at Catholic Church of the Ascension, Saturday, March 3 at 10:30 a.m. with burial in Calvary Cemetery. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth Louise Turunen Bevier; his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Anne Bevier Groff and John E. Groff of Peoria, IL; two grandsons, Justin T. Groff and Kellar T. Groff of Peoria, IL; and a brother, Robert (Bob) E. Bevier of Irving, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank G. Bevier.
