Born in Johnson County on March 14, 1919, he was the son of James Earl and Edna(Scott)Parker.
A factory worker for General Electric for 20 years, he also farmed in Shelby County.
Mr. Parker was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, Free and Accepted Mason Lodge, Waldron, Shriners and Eastern Star, Waldron, where he was a past grand patron.
Survivors include his mother; a son, Russell Parker, R.R. 6, Shelbyville; a daughter, Mrs. Michael(Vicki)Brown; a brother, Clifford Parker, Franklin; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ewing Mortuary with the Rev. James H. Farnsley officiating.
Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. Saturday.
