Mrs. Lucille Elizabeth Musgrove Sturges, 87, died Saturday morning at Mayo Clinic Health Systems of Waycross after an extended illness.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross. She was a homemaker and member of Wahoma Church of God.

She is the daughter of the late Eddie Columbus Musgrove and Macie Carol Strickland Musgrove. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Sturges; and two children, James Denny Sturges and Bertha Lou Sturges Perritt.

Survivors include five sons:
Larry Edd Sturges (wife Faye),
Walter Columbus Sturges,
Jimmy James Sturges (Sandra),
Jerome Musgrove Sturges,
Tony Bradford Sturges (wife Tammy) … all of Waycross;
four daughters,
Patricia Diane Sturges Cribb
Debra Gale Sturges Andrews .. both of Waycross,
Janice Delene Sturges Pittman (husband Raymond) of Jesup,
Barbara Yvette Sturges Johnson (husband Craig) of Blackshear;

one sister, Louis Tillman of Waresboro;
and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wahoma Church of God. Burial will follow in Mt. Green Cemetery in Millwood.

The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Music Funeral Home.

Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
