Obituary: "J.R Mackey of Malvern Dies"
J. R. (Bob) Mackey, age 85 of Malvern died there last Thursday. He was a retired employee of J.C. Cuffman Lumber Commpany. Mr. Mackey, a native of Arkadelphia for a number of years, was Supt. of buildings and grounds at Ouachita Baptist University. He was there during the administration of Dr. C.E. Dicken. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife; one son, R.C. Mackey of Augusta; a daughter, Mrs. W.H. Yates of North Little Rock; a brother, Harry Mackey of Arkadelphia and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at Murry-Ruggles Funeral Chapel and burial was in Unity Cemetery.
