GARDINER --- Emma B. Dill, 45 Oak Street widow of George W. Dill, died Tuesday at a nearby rest home after being in failing health for the past year.
She was born in Gardiner, April 17, 1865, and has been a life-long resident of the city. Her parents were John B. and Elvira (Ridley) Huntington.
Surviving is a niece; Mrs. Ray Hamlin, Gardiner; five nephews, Ernest Atkins, Topsham, Augustus Leavitt, Gardiner, Ray Huntington, China, Horace Huntington, Pittston and Clinton Barrett, Sullivan.
She was a member of Winter Street Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday from Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., where friends may call Wednesday afternoon and evening.

GARDINER --- Funeral services for Mrs. Emma B. Dill were held Thursday from Staples Funeral Home, The Rev. L.L. Dunn of Mount Vernon United Parish, former pastor of Winter Street Baptist Church, officiated.
Bearers were Ernest Lawrence, Galen Davis, Williams Rines and Ernest Pushard.
Burial was in the family lot in Oak Grove Cemetery where the Rev. Dunn said committal prayers.
