Charles R. Andrews, 78, 148 Clark St., died Friday at 2:40 p.m. at his residence. He had been in failing health for four years.
The son of John and Susan Myers Andrews, he was born May 4, 1880 in Clinton county. He was married Nov. 15, 1904 to Nellie Bogan Andrews who survives him.
He was a member of Villars Chapel Methodist church, and a retired farmer.
Survivors include four sons, Raymond S. and Charles R. Andrews of Wilmington, James M. Andrews, Allen Park, Mich., Dean E. Andrews, Xenia; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Wells, Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Richard Lacy, Cuba; a brother, Elba Andrews, Woodlawn, Va., seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Fisher funeral home, with interment at Springfield Church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday afternoon and evening.
