At The age of 1 year and 11 months, Leland presented with a rash which was thought to be chickenpox. unfortunately, Leland was suffering from Meningitis B which is one of the most deadly strains of the virus.
By the time Leland was diagnosed, it was too late. He died on the 25 February 2009.

A favourite walk of Leland's, was in Bryn Bach Park in Rhymney.
There is farm in Pontypridd that Leland loved to visit.
With a big smile on his face Leland loved to take his walking stick, he looked like a little old man!
Where Ron (His dad) lived there was a big tree with a log underneath, and a big field fenced off with sheep and horses.Leland used to love sitting there and watch the animals.
