Mrs Mamie C Bailey
Trenton -- Mrs Mamie Lorena Clayton Bailey, 85, of Route 1, widow of Charles P Bailey Sr, died Dec 23, 1986 at St Joseph's Hospital in North Augusta.
Born in Aiken County, Jan 4, 1901, she was a daughter of the late William and Eloise Cullum Clayton. She was a homemaker and member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Lucian H Bailey of Jacksonville, Fla, Charlie P Bailey Jr of Augusta, Louie W Bailey of Johnston and Earl Bailey of Ninety Six; four daughters, Wynez Rholetter of Fair Play, Louise Kenney of Carlisle, Ind, Frances Quarles of Belvedere and Loretta Gowan of Temple, Texas; and a sister, Nobie Veth of Aiken; 28 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 pm Friday at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev James A Holston officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Williams, Ronnie Quarles, Tom Rodgers, Philip Bailey, Donal Bailey and Timothy Bailey.
The family will receive friends after 1 pm today at the church.
Posey Funeral Home of North Augusta is in charge.
