Bob Curtis Andrews

Bob Curtis Andrews, a resident of Eufaula, Ala. and formerly of Pinckard, Ala., died Friday morning, May 20, 2005, in Eufaula. He was 42.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2005, in the Bethlehem Baptist Church on Brannon Stand Road in Dothan with the Rev. W. L. Sheffield officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinckard Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. today at the mortuary in Headland. At other times, the family will be at the home of his mother, Mrs. Jimmie Lou Andrews in Pinckard.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Eufaula Pride, c/o Glenda Emerson, 237 Sanford Ave., Eufaula, AL 36027.
Mr. Andrews was born and reared in Pinckard where he lived most of his life before moving to Eufaula five years ago. He was a graduate of Dale County High School. Mr. Andrews was employed as director of sales and recruiting for Magnatran Corporation in Eufaula. Prior to his employment in Eufaula, he was employed by the South Alabama Skills Training Consortium in Dothan as an instructor. In earlier years, Mr. Andrews drove a livestock truck. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dothan and attended Saint James Episcopal Church in Eufaula. Mr. Andrews was also a member of Eufaula Pride. For the past 28 years, he was active as a softball player and played on softball teams that won numerous world, state and national championships.
Mr. Andrews was preceded in death his father, Clarence H. (Pete) Andrews; his grandparents, L. C. Green and Lola Mae Green, and P. H. Andrews and Grace Andrews.
Surviving relatives include his special love, Ann Blondheim, Eufaula, Ala.; a daughter, Autumn Andrews, Marianna, Fla.; his mother, Jimmie Lou Green Andrews, Pinckard, Ala.; two sisters, Charlotte Allen and her husband, Gaylon Allen, Napier Field, Ala. and Pam Austin and her husband, Gary Austin, Dothan; two brothers, James Andrews and Andy Andrews, both of Pinckard, Ala.; an uncle and aunt, Paul and Frances Loftin, Atlanta; several nieces and nephews; and a special beloved pet, Friday.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Al Allen, Marc Allen, Ryan Allen, Eric Andrews, Scott Andrews and Ricky Killingsworth. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be all former and present softball team players.
