Clarrisa Rosetta Brookens was born Oct 25, 1845. At the age of 18 she was united to the Christian church, and has lived a consistent Christian until death came and relieved her of her suffering, Feb 25, 1894, aged 48 years and 4 months. She was married to Samuel Northrup, March 25, 1869. In 1964, the moved to Nebraska. Her health failing, and after doing everything she could to restore her health in that country and failed, she came to Columbus, hoping medical skill in Ohio could do her some good; but alas! she died in a few days after arriving at Columbus. Her remains were brought to Olive Green, and the funeral services were preached by Rev Rollie (?) Harris, after which she was taken to the Kingston cemetery for interment. She leaves a husband and daughter 23 years old to mourn her loss.
