Funeral services for Corbin Gobel Vanwinkle, 78, of the Clifty community, who passed away Nov. 26, were Monday, Nov. 28, in the Bilbrey Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev Gary Lewis officiated, with burial in Eastland Cemetery. Special music provided by Garry and Mable Lewis.
Mr. Vanwinkle was born January 3, 1916, in Cumberland County, the son of the late Alvin and Mary Evans Vanwinkle. A factory worker at General Processing and a World War II veteran, he was a member of the Ridgedale Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Reeves Vanwinkle; two brothers, Marvin Vanwinkle and Jasper Vanwinkle, and a sister Nellie Lockwood.
