Died Thursday, Nov. 16, 1989, at St. James Place, after a lengthy illness. She was a native of West Baton Rouge Parish and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., 3:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at St. James Episcopal Church 9 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Francis T. Daunt. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Joan Hatcher McCaskill; a granddaughter, Karen McCaskill; and a sister, Mrs. James Lanier. Preceded in death by first husband, W.B. Hatcher, former president of LSU; and second husband, Roger Richardson, Dean Emeritus of the College of Engineering at LSU. She was director of Test and Guidance at LSU and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
