Mrs. Ruggles is survived by her children, Joseph A. Ruggles and his wife, Cynthia Gregory of Albuquerque, Millicent M. Henson and her husband, Ronald of Warrensburg, MO and George A. Ruggles of Albuquerque, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and son-in-law, Dr. Arthur Perkins.
Mina was preceded in death by her husband, George Austin Ruggles and her daughter, Marilyn E. Perkins.
Mrs. Ruggles was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Michigan. Mina was a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a life member of the New Mexico Educators Association, past president of Gamma Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa. Mrs. Ruggles was a charter member of the Alpha Iota chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. Mina was Pi Lambda Theta and a life member of Nor Este Art Association. Mina was a member of the League of American Penwomen and Past President of West Mesa Garden Club.
Mrs. Ruggles graduated from the University of New Mexico with a B.A. in Art Education and a M.A. in Elementary Education. Mina taught four years in Michigan and 21 years at Lavaland Elementary in Albuquerque.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Rio Grande Presbyterian Church, 600 Coors Blvd. NW, with Rev. Jean Thompson officiating.
