Dorothy was born to Louis Edgar and Emma (Kraft) Fleming on May 20, 1916 in York, NE. Dorothy passed away early Thursday morning, June 14th, at the Golden Living Center in O'Neill.

Dorothy attended country schools near Ewing and graduated from Ewing High School in 1934. In June of 1935, she married Charles (Charlie) Lawrence of O'Neill. They made their home in O'Neill where Charlie was a livestock truck driver and Dorothy was a homemaker and chief fence post seller for Charlie. Charlie passed away in January of 1975. Dorothy and Charlie had no children of their own, but loved to have their nieces and nephews come and visit. Every year, Dorothy always had a large garden and canned much produce from the garden and many fruit trees at her home on the east edge of O'Neill. She was a long time member of the Presbyterian Church and was a Charter member of the Golden Age Senior Center. She loved cards, enjoyed playing bingo, and always enjoyed visiting with friends and family.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 brothers; Lloyd, William, Arthur, and Cliff, and 4 sisters; Pearl, May, Grace, and Ruth.

Dorothy is survived by: Brother, Robert Fleming and wife Louise, of Omaha, NE, Sisters-in-law, Agnes Lawrence Douglas, of O'Neill, and Elizabeth Fleming of Omaha, NE. and a host of relatives and friends.

Burial was in the O'Neill Cemetery, O'Neill, NE.
