Ruby Fox Phillips, age 87 of Sevierville, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012. She retired from Electro-Voice and was a long-time member of Bethel Baptist Church, Sevierville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Verner E. Phillips, and her parents, Roscoe and Julia Fox.
She is survived by her children Amy and David Farmer, Judy and Tony Layman, Don and Kay Phillips, Larry and Deborah Phillips, Thelma Herron, Grace Griffin and Johnny Shultz, and Bruce and Ramona Phillips; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sisters Beryl Sadler and Faye Sutton; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Cemetery Fund, c/o Alvin R. Davis, 2780 Jones Cove Road, Sevierville, TN 37876.
Funeral service 7 PM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Heard and Rev. Curtis Manning officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2 PM Sunday in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery for interment. The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
