Ola Mae "Susie" Miller, 93, of Durham, North Carolina, formerly of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on June 13, 2012. She was born on December 31, 1918 in Hendricks County, Indiana to the late John and Lillie Coonfield. Susie loved to cook and sew. When she got married Susie did not know anything about cooking so she had to learn somehow. She would open cookbooks and although she did not know what she was cooking, she would simply do whatever the recipe called for. Eventually Susie became a wonderful cook. She was known for sewing clothing and knitting beautiful sweaters.
She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children; Stephen (Kathleen) Miller, Don (Wanda) Miller and Cassandra Brody; 8 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren; sisters; Donna (Junior) Carter and Mable Richey

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chestine "Chet" Miller, siblings, Clarence Coonfield, Harold Coonfield, John Coonfield Jr. and Evelyn Holmes.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 18, 2012 from 10:30 until 11:30 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral Service will be conducted in the funeral home Monday at 11:30. She will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley.
