John Blair, 26 West, died Thursday night at 7:30 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was 95 years old. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Roberts-Blue Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Blair was born, December 9, 1851, in Colraine, Ireland, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Blair. He came to America when he was 24 years old and moved to Emporia in 1888. In June of that year he married Emma Daniels in Emporia. He was a stone mason and had been retired the past 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, of the home, two sons Robert Blair, Kansas City, Kansas; Andrew Blair, 128 South Neosho; four daughters, Mrs. Harry Burns, 915 Sylvan; Mrs. John Heller, Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. James Kyle, 1 Rural, and Mrs. Fred Rumsteadt, Kansas City, Mo. Thirteen grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive.
