Mrs. Joe Blair Dead
Mrs. Joe Blair, 712 West Fourth, died Saturday evening in a Topeka hospital following seven weeks' illness. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Christian church. Internment will be in Maplewood cemetery.
Mrs. Blair's maiden name was Elsie Anna Egy. She was born November 13, 1885 in Harvey county, near Newton, and was married November 28, 1901 to Joe Blair, of McPherson county.
Twelve children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Blair, two of whom died in infancy. Mrs. Blair is survived by her husband and 10 children, all of Emporia; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Egy, of Hesston; four brothers, Charles, of Arkansas City; Frank, of Wichita; Harold and Irvin, of Hesston; and two sisters, Mrs. C.G. Rickenbrod, of Herington; and Mrs. Elvan Barker, of Hesston.
