Clarence Blair Dies

Clarence L. Blair, 402 E. Potwin Ave., a building contractor, died Sunday evening in Newman Memorial County Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. in the Blair Colonial Chapel. They will be conducted by the Rev. Stephen J. Williams, pastor of the First Congregational Church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Blair, the son of Joseph and Elsa Egy Blair, was born Jan. 9th, 1904, in Hesston, and he was married to Opal Burke on Jan. 25th, 1955, in Winfield. He is survived by his wife, of the home; one son, Wayne L. Blair, 2112 Lincoln St.; four step-children, Donnie Thompson, Tacoma, Wash.; Johnnie Thompson, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. T. W. (Betty) Warren, Longmont, Colo., and Mrs. L. H. (Eula) Cozad, Byon, Minn.; five brothers, L. G., of 702 Prairie St.; Ellis, of 3220 West Sixth Ave.; Roy, of Eureka; Walter, of Whittier, Calif., and Milford, of Aguanga, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Lonnie (Alice) Searcy, 717 Neosho St.; Mrs. Glenn E. (Vella) Endly, 216 South Cottonwood St.; Mrs. W. E. (Fay) Briles, Rt. 1., and Mrs. Harvey (Fern) McIntire, Hill City, and 11 grandchildren.
