On June 18, 1928, she was married to Gerald Bender, who survives. Also surviving are 4 children (Arthur Gene, Rosalie Marie, Ronald Dean, and Gerald Deon), 8 grandchildren, 2 brothers, one sister, one half brother, and one half sister. She was a member of the West Union Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held at the Kalona Mennonite Church Oct. 5. in charge of Carl Smeltzer and Emery Hochstetler; interment in the Sharon Hill Cemetery, Kalona. Gospel Herald, December 28, 1971.
