He is survived by his son, Danny Carl Achord; grandchildren, Michelle Achord Bencaz, Davey Achord, Dean Achord Jr., Krystal Gayle Achord, Beau Daniel Achord and Sarah Gabrielle Achord; great-grandchildren, Brandin Bencaz, Landin Bencaz, Meaghin Bencaz, Reaghin Bencaz, Kerstin Achord, Gayle Dean Achord III and Briahna Achord; and three brothers, Noris, Terry and Bert Achord Sr.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Iris Sutcliffe Achord; parents, John Wesley "Bob" and Beatrice Burns Achord; three sons, Rickey Davey, Malcolm Ray and Gayle Dean Achord Sr.; a granddaughter, Angel Dawn Achord; and two brothers, L. Gene and Merlin Wayne Achord.
