Lonnie B. Widger, 43 of 563 S. Moore St. died at 9:17 a.m. June 4, 1940 at Ottumwa Hospital. He was the son of William & Darl Widger and was born in Davis county August 6, 1896. He lived most of his life in Ottumwa and worked at John Morrell & Co. 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Adeline; sons, Herschel, Virgil and James, all of Ottumwa; daughter, Donna of Ottumwa; his father W. O. Widger of Harrison, Nebraska. Three step-children; Dorothy Sterling, John Canterbury & Richard Darland; half brother, William Widger of California. and half sisters Mrs. Opal Smith & Mrs. Elva Adams of Nebraska.
Service will be held in Johnson's Funeral Chapel Thurs. at 1:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. A. D. McClure. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery. The casket was taken to the home at 4 p.m. today and will be returned to the chapel Thurs. at 11:30 a.m.
Pallbearers will be William Beal, Henry Shepherd, John Lawson, Dave Lewis, Roy D. Young and Lawrence Cochrell.
