OSWEGO - William J. Muldoon, 76, of 42 East Oneida Street, died Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, after a brief illness. Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Neil J. Muldoon. He was the husband of the former Beatrice White. Mr. Muldoon formerly served as manager of Oswego Stardust Manufacturing Company. He later managed Endicott Johnson Shoe Store and Royce Shoe Store, both in Oswego. Mr. Muldoon was a longtime and active participant in the Alcoholics Anonymous program. He gave much of his personal time to ensure the growth and activities in that agency. He also established the Alcoholics Anonymous agency at St. Paul's Church in Oswego. Mr. Muldoon was instrumental in the founding of the Newman Center at SUNY Oswego. He was a communicant of St. Louis Church, Oswego. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Timothy Beatrice Etter of Fayetteville; a son, Dr. Thomas N. Muldoon of Kalispell, Montana; two brothers, Neil of Oswego and Charles Muldoon of Liverpool; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Frances Holpet of Ravenna, New York; six grandchildren; and a great grandchild. Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Louis Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Oswego.
