Donald W. Ahart, 59, 2405 Avenue D, died Saturday at a local hospital following a lomg illness.
Born in Denison, Iowa, came to Council Bluffs about 50 years ago. He attended Council Bluffs schools.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a
veteran of World War II
Until six yraes ago he was employed at the Iowa Power and Light Co. as a storekeper in their power plant
Survivors include:
Widow, Eleanor: five brothers, Charles E. of Portland, OR, Herbert H. of Aalbany, OR., John "Ed", Robert W. and J. Melvin, all of Council Bluffs; three sisters. Mrs. Elizabeth Dudley and Mrs. Mabel McGrath, both of Omaha, and Mrs. Kathryn Olson of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are pending with the Woodring Funeral Home in charge.
The Family suggests that memorials be made to St. John's Lutheran Church
