and Elizabeth Black;
wife of Asahel W Langworthy
"Mrs Margaret M Langworthy - Margaret M Bunting was born in Erie county, Pennsylvania, May 26, 1838, and at the age of 23 years she was united in marriage to Ashel W Langworthy, who died March 31, 1872. To this union was born the following surviving children: James L Langworthy of Yakima, Washington, Mrs Noble Clark and Mrs H J Conner, both of Warren, Pa, and Mrs J K Udel of Yakima, Wash. There are also thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The venerable old lady passed away at the ripe old age of 81 years, 7 months and 4 days, at Warren, Pa, Dec 30, 1919, from the infirmities of age. At the death of her husband, Mrs Langworthy was left with four small children, the oldest of whom being only 7 years old. The care and support of these children was the life work of this devoted and saintly mother, and nobly did she perform her arduous labors, and now her children 'rise up and call her blessed,' and well they may. The remains of Mrs Langworthy were brought to Centreville on Saturday, Jan 3, and the funeral held at the Methodist Episcopal church, conducted by the pastor, Rev G E Boyer, and interment made in the family plot beside her husband, west of Centreville. Mrs Langworthy had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for more than fifty years and church membership to her was not a name only, but a life of consecrated devotion to the Christian religion and walking in 'the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.' She rests in peace and her works do follow her; she is dead, yet she liveth, and the influence of the earth life, so unselfish and devoted, will be a benediction and an inspiration in the years that are to follow. T J P, Centreville, Jan 9, 1920"
