Funeral Tomorrow
The funeral of Albert T. Doop, who was killed yesterday morning while investigating a charge of dynamite that had failed to go off at the proper time, will be held from the Doop home six miles east of Independence tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.

Big Hill Items.
The saddest accident that ever happened in or near this vicinity occurred this Wednesday in the Albert Doop door yard near Harmony school house. Mr. Doop in company with his younger son was putting a blast in a well when it exploded, striking him in the head. He lived about five minutes but never spoke. He leaves to mourn his loss, the widow, four grown children, Mrs. Henry Jones of Cushing, Ok., Mrs. Clarence Fry of Independence, Jesse and Ira who reside at home, an aged mother, Mrs. Lottie Doop of Cherryvale, a sister, Mrs. Harvey Cook of Independence, a brother, W. H. Doop of near Cherryvale and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock p. m. Friday from the residence and interment in Grass cemetery beside his father who preceded him to the grave only a few weeks ago. (Note: Burial in Mt. Hope).
