Evelyn Ezzell, 94, of Memphis, passed away at her home on June 11, 2012. Ms. Ezzell was born February 3, 1918 in Obion County, Tennessee and had lived in Memphis for 65 years. She worked as a hair stylist for many years and loved fishing and gardening. She leaves behind her son, William Pollard and wife, Jewell; one granddaughter, Susan Pollard; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Ezzell, Linda Wilbanks, William Ezzell, and Danny Montgomery; her two faithful caregivers, Rosetta Jones and Linda Jenkins; and a host of other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Ezzell and her sister, Louise Montgomery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 14 from 10 to 11 a.m. at High Point Funeral Home & Crematorium, 3788 Summer Avenue, Memphis. Funeral services will follow visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be private and held in the West Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery.
