She was born Feb. 19, 1946, in Longview, and attended Mark Morris High School and Linfield College.
Jeannie was an activities director for assisted living facilities locally and in Hawaii. She enjoyed singing in a local quartet and playing piano and cello. She played cello with the Southwest Washington Symphony.
She was bubbly, outgoing, compassionate and willing to help anyone in need.
Jeannie is survived by three sisters, Beverly Rios, Peggy Bonney and Dee Jay McComas; and five cousins, Beverly Lincoln, Dean Lincoln, Steve Lincoln, Kathy Barner, and Karen Belland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lois Acheson.
A celebration of Jeannie's life is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at Central Christian Church, 401 Crawford in Kelso. A light potluck will follow in the fellowship hall.
Arrangements were by Ultimate Cremation Services of Hawaii, Honolulu.
