Mrs. Mary Frances (Oakman) True, 81, wife of the late Moses True, died last night, February 20, 1944 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Thomas O. Swain, 908 Kentucky Avenue, Cumberland, MD. She formerly resided in Buck Valley, PA.
Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Alfred Morgret, Hanover, PA; Mrs. John Hill, Hancock MD; Mrs. William D. Morgret and Mrs. Ezra C. Swain, both of Cumberland, MD; and Mrs. Lester Barnes, Artemas, PA; three sons, Oliver Martin, Artemas, PA; Benjamin Franklin, Big Pool, MD; and Charles Avarine, Little Orleans, MD; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Dishong, Brushcreek, PA; two brothers, Oliver Oakman, Waterfall, PA; 40 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was a member of the Latter Day Saints Church, Buck Valley.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Frances (Oakman) True, widow of Moses True, who died Sunday night, February 20, 1944 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas O. Swain, 908 Kentucky Avenue, Cumberland, MD, were held at 11 a.m. yesterday in the Methodist Church at Buck Valley, PA.
The services were in charge of the elders of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and the pastor of the Methodist Church at Buck Valley. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Flower bearers, all granddaughters of Mrs. True, were Hazel, Armeda, Edna, LeOra, Sue and Louise Swain.
Pallbearers, all grandsons, were Richard and Wallace Swain, Leo True, Denver Barnes, Orville Hill and Porter Hill.
