Resolutions of Respect.
Another has been added to the number before the throne.
Whereas, it has pleased God in the dispensation of an allwise providence to remove by death from our midst, our sister and colaborer, Mrs. Lucinda Batcheler, whose zeal and fidelity to the cause of temperance ever made her a useful member of our society, be it.
Resolved, By the W.C.T.U. of Lock Haven, that in the death of Mrs. Batcheler, the temperance cause has lost one of its warmest friends, and our society one of its most diligent workers.
Resolved, that we condole with the bereaved friends and point them to the example of a well spent life worthy of imitation.
Resolved, that these resolutions be inscribed in the minutes of our society, and a copy transmitted to the family of our departed sister.
