Richard "Blinky" Robert Aregger was born March 28, 1936, in Trenton, New Jersey, and went to be with his wife, Jennifer, on June 2, 2012, at his niece's home surrounded by family.

Dick "Blinky" attended school in Saratoga and Los Gatos, CA. After graduation he went into construction for ten years. He lost one eye as a child and his second eye in an industrial accident. Following that he went into the bar and restaurant business, owning three bars in Santa Clara, CA, one bar in Juneau, AK, and one bar in Bellingham, WA, called Dick's Den.

Blinky was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer; his parents, Jim and Mary Aregger; a brother, Jack Aregger; a sister, Lorraine Crapser; and nephews, Mike Aregger and Rob Crapser. He is survived by his children, Rick Aregger, Patti Maltese, Randy Aregger, and Theresa Scott; eight grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Marion) Aregger; sisters, Bernice (Roy) Pottle and Regina Hiatt; brother-in-law, Dean Crapser; sister-in-law, Carole Aregger; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his California daughter, Danielle, and special niece, Ronni Jo.

A Celebration of Blinky's Life will be held Friday, June 15, at 1:00 PM at Blinky's Can't Say Lounge in Santa Clara, CA.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 8, at 1:00 PM at Moles Greenacres Funeral Home, Ferndale, WA, with burial to follow in Moles Greenacres Memorial Park. In honor of Dick, please wear your sunglasses.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
