Margaret Rust Smith, born August 29, 1904, in Tacoma passed away peacefully August 26, 1999. She is survived by three daughters, Billie Rust Murphy-Docherty (Leonard), Peggy Sheard, and Helen Rust Watts (William); five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husbands H. Arthur Rust in 1936 and Roscoe A. Smith in 1983. "Mardie" was an active member of The Tacoma Country and Golf Club, Tacoma Yacht Club, Junior League of Tacoma, Ida S. Baillie Orthopedic Guild, and Alpha Phi sorority. Funeral arrangements have been made by Mountain View Funeral Home with services on Tuesday, August 31st at 1:00 P.M. in the Garden Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma.
