On January 21, 1965, he married his wife of 46 years, Linda Bailey Gammon, who survives of the residence.
Most of his life was spent in the Vandola and Westover area. He was of the Holiness faith.
Archie was dedicated to his lifelong career as a drywall mechanic until his disability in 2005.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is also survived by a special niece, Jenna Lusk of the home, one sister Clemmie Chandler and her husband Bobby of Danville and one brother David Gammon and his wife Sherry of Dry Fork, and a number of nieces and nephews, and a number of great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Webb and Linda Woods.
