FRANK MAYER PASSES AWAY
Frank E. Mayer, 74, of 8 Myers Avenue died at his home at 2:40 a.m. today after a lingering illness. He was born in Shelby Jan. 4, 1879 and spent his entire live here.
Mr. Mayer had been employed at the Ohio Seamless Tube Co. for 53 years, retiring in May 1945, and was a member of the 50 year club of that company.
He was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Church and the Knights of Columbus lodge.
He was married Apr. 5, 1904 to Caroline Guenther who survives in addition to three daughters, Mrs. Robert L. Miller of Los Angeles, Cal., Miss Eunice Mayer of Denver, Colo. And Mrs. J.L. Haun of this city; one brother, Gus and one sister, Mrs. Whitney Robertson, both of Shelby; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Church with Rev. M. A. McFadden officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dye Funeral Home Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon and evening.
