Info handed down from my great grandmother says Emily was a Bennett before getting married. There is a marriage record dated November 2, 1882 in Itawamba county, MS for a W.D. Ingram (This would be William David Inghram) and a E.J. Bennett which confirms this. I believe she was the daughter of Isaac and Pheba Bennett from the 1880 census.
