Leila Elnora (Ragan) Ziegler. Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home.
Leila was born on the family farm, March 1, 1913, in Blue Rapids, Kansas, the youngest of six children. Her father died when she was 14 months old.
She married Pete Ziegler, December 31, 1935. Their three daughters (Beverly, Mary and Elizabeth) were born in Blue Rapids.
In 1946 they moved to Washington. Pete passed away in 1984. She was a very caring, compassionate person. She did her best to help those in need.
She leaves her daughters and their families: Elizabeth (Jim) Vlassis and Mary (Dave) Cooley and her son-in-law Wayne Shepherd . She has 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters. Her daughter, Beverly Shepherd, of Sumner, WA, passed away February 7, 2010.
Memorial service will be Saturday, August 14, 2010, at 12:30 p.m. City Church, 4624 West 10th Avenue, Kennewick, WA 99336.
