William F. Addis, 87, of Hennepin, formerly of Aliquippa, Pa., passed away June 9, 2012, in St. Margaret's Hospital, Spring Valley.
Graveside services tentatively are set for 11 a.m. Aug. 18. Masonic services and military rites will be conducted at Riverside Cemetery, Hennepin. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel in Granville is assisting the family.
He was born May 27, 1925 in Canonsburg, Pa. He married Shirley (Champ) on Nov. 8, 1946, in Canonsburg.
William served his country in the U.S Navy and was a veteran of World War II. Upon retirement he was as a supervisor of the pipe department at Dravo Corp. in Pittsburgh, Pa.
William was a member of Ohio United Presbyterian Church in Aliquippa and Chartiers Masonic Lodge 297 in Pennsylvania in which he had served by his brothers as past master in 1957. He was also a member of Edgewood Golf Course, McNabb. William also made golf clubs by hands and taught his grandson Eric to become a top-notch golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Cheryl (Mike) Pezzelle of Phoenix, Ariz., and Elizabeth (John) Ciucci of Hennepin; five grandchildren, Mike Pezzelle, Mark Pezzelle and Matt Pezzelle, Keith Ciucci and Eric Ciucci; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Harold E Addis Jr.
