Mr. Dolan was born February 20, 1915 in Garrett, Indiana the son of John H. and Zelia Mae (Bradley) Dolan.
He was a 1933 graduate of Garrett High School and was a railroad conductor for the B&O Railroad from 1937-1976. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby, United Transportation Union (formerly the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen).
He is survived by his wife, Elaine (Kibler) Dolan, whom he wed on November 9, 1956; a stepson, Richard D. Koontz of Shelby; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law: Alice and Jerry Andrews of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Nancy Dolan of Columbus; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Margaret Dolan of Garrett, Indiana. He was preceded in death by a brother Richard L. Dolan and a daughter, Marth Ann Keller.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, where funeral seivices will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM with Rev. Carl Beighley. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
