Coral Lavina Julian, 87 of Albuquerque and formerly of Fort Sumner passed away on Thursday June 7, 2012 in Albuquerque. Coral was born on January 29, 1925 in Shannon City, Iowa the daughter of Rollie Lee Boggs and Emma Lavinia Russell.

Coral attended and graduated from Shannon City High School, she attended Chillocothe Business College in Chillocothe, MO where she received a business degree. She worked as a bookkeeper for Paxton Lumber Company and Beach-Wittan Auto Supply in Kansas City, MO from 1943-1945.

She made her home in Fort Sumner where she was employed by the De Baca County Health Department from 1951-53 and at Citizens Bank from 1959-1962.

Coral married Walter D. Julian on January 7, 1945. Together they owned and operated Julian Mortuary in Fort Sumner and Santa Rosa until 1981. Coral was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Sumner.

Coral made her home at La Vida Llena in Albuquerque, NM where she has resided for the past twenty years. Coral thoroughly enjoyed the activities and residents. Coral had a passion for reading, and she loved to cook and travel.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Walter Julian on April 4, 1957 and her husband, Walter DeWitt Julian on June 29, 1986, her parents, and three brothers James, Rollie, and Eugene Boggs.

She is survived by her daughter, Coral Jeannette "Jeannie" Kemery of Hereford, Arizona.
