John was the son of William Reed Beaver and Mary Katherine McDonald Beaver. He married Nancy Charlotte Sanders (1870-1912) [dau of William Hiram Sanders & Jane W. Ames Sanders] in McDonald County, Missouri on November 24, 1889. They were the parents of the following children: Mary Brunett, Raymond McDonald, Mabel Alice, John T., Ruby, Nancy Edith, Claril, Marjorie and Paul. Nancy died on June 5, 1912 in McDonald County, Missouri. John married a second time to Misha Luella Forbes in 1913 and they had two children, Charles Cecil and (unknown). Later he married Elizabeth C. Nichols on December 20, 1930 in Benton County, Arkansas.
