Alverta Adkins (Jordan) Blevins, 85, of Willard, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 at her residence.

She was born Nov. 21, 1926, in Wise, Va., daughter of the late Hobert and Eliza (McClellan) Jordan.

She was a member of the Pentecostal faith. Alverta enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Alverta is survived by her children, Connie Hatfield, Patsy Mosley, Anna (Johnny) Tackett and Mary Caudill, all of Willard, Nancy (Tony) Agresta, of Dyersburg, Tenn., Rebecca (Jimmy) Hall, of McDowell, Ky., Linda Gayheart, of Harold, Ky., Betty (Leroy) Gibson, of Lorain, Millard Adkins, of Sandusky, Hobert (Pam) Adkins, of Uniontown, Pa., Roger (Melina) Adkins, of Somerset, Ky., and Bobby (Patty) Adkins, of Lorain; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Nina (Chuck) Wilson and Virginia Ridgeway, of Sandusky; and brothers, the Rev. Donald (Nancy) Jordan, of Monroeville, and Logan Jordan, of Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Milton Adkins in 1973 and James Blevins in 1978; daughters, Lilly Sue and Claire Marie Adkins; sons, Charles W. and Harlen R. Adkins; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 11, at Groff Funeral Home and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12. Alverta's brother the Rev. Donald Jordan will officiate. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery, Perkins Township.
