Charles E. King, 85, a Glendive city councilman for 13 years and a retired Northern Pacific Railroad car inspector, died Wednesday at the Wibaux Nursing Home.
Born in Emmons County, N. D., a son of Mr. and Mrs. James King, he moved to Glendive in 1922 and had been a resident there since. He married Martha Gifford in 1922 in Wibaux.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Odd Fellows and VFW here.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Lora) Utgaard of Glendive, Mrs. Oliver (Margaret) Wyatt and Mrs. Otis (Jean) Hill, both of Canyon City, Colo; two sisters, Mrs. Bill (Maggie) Radke and Helen Klapper, both of Bellingham, Wash; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
