Daughter of Craddock G.Gober and Matilda Wilbanks of Commerce,Georgia. ****Martha A. Gober was born in Franklin Co.Georgia on 27 Apr 1837.
Martha A. Gober married Jesse Lord on 17 Jul 1859 in Banks Co, GA; she was his second wife. They were the parents of Linton Harrison, John Thomas, Jesse Mack, Lenora, Nimrod Benjamin Lord "NB" and Elizabeth Ann "Mattie" Lord-Hosch.

By Jesse Lord's first wife Nancy Hix, whom he married 23 Dec 1841 in Bibb Co GA, Jesse Lord was the father of George Washington Lord, "Lucy"Joanna Amanda Lord-Rice , Nathaniel Simeon Lord and William D. Lord. On 12 Nov 1858, Nancy Hix Lord died; her youngest child William D. Lord died at about 5 years of age. Jesse Lord then married Martha A.
