Ben F. Potts Dies In Reeve

Retired Farmer of Reeve Will Be Buried Tuesday Morning At Oak Grove In Reeve

Benjamin Franklin Potts, 87, retired farmer of Reeve Township, died Sunday morning at 3:40 o'clock, following several years ailment of senility. He had been serious the past week at his home one mile south of the Porter school of Reeve Township.

Born on November 4, 1849, the deceased was a son of Taylor F. and Mary A. (Johnson) Potts. He married Julia Ann Godwin 60 years ago, and she preceded him in death. The deceased was the last of a family of 11 children, and was widely known in Reeve.

He lived with two children, David H. and Taylor F. Potts, and is survived by another child, Mrs. Rose Shelton of Montgomery. Two other children preceded him in death. Surviving also are five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Potts will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Oak Grove church in Reeve township with Rev. Genrich officiating, and burial following in the adjoining cemetery. James A. Gill & Sons will have charge of the funeral.
