Funeral of Miss Holton
Simple Home Service Followed by Interment at Evergreen.
The funeral of Miss Elcy C. Holton, daughter of Asst. Dist.-Atty. G.M. Holton, took place from the residence of her parents, No. 227 South Bunker Hill Avenue, yesterday afternoon. A large number of friends of the family attended to pay their respects to one whom they had learned to love during her brief life, who, though a sufferer for years, always manifested a cheerful and loving disposition which endeared her to all who knew her. Deputy Dist.-Atty. F.R. Willis looked after the funeral arrangements. Loving friends buried the casket in a bank of flowers. Among the many floral pieces was one sent by the associates of Judge Holton in the Courthouse. Rev. W.H. Knighten conducted the religious services, and a quartette under the direction of Miss Orilla Donnell, sang three selections. The pall bearers were Leo Carillo, George Lobersheimber, Ben Davis, Roy Brosseau, James Collins and Dr. Roy Loomis. Four intimate associates of the deceased acted as an escort, riding in a hack in front of the hearse, carrying the flowers to the grave. The interment was at Evergreen Cemetery.
